Designed for 7th Graders or equivalent.  This module provides the science and psychology behind digital media’s impact on social, emotional, and behavioral influences. Students will understand digital platforms business model and data collection practices feeding users information designed to capture attention to influence media feeds, beliefs and eventually a person’s culture. This lesson identifies the importance of developing emotional intelligence, empathy, critical thinking, and digital literacy skills to combat online predatory influences to grow into better digital citizens and consumers.
